Dear Colleagues,

In my transition to Ramapo Indian Hills as your new Superintendent of Schools, I have been impressed by the points of pride in our learning community. As educators, you demonstrate unique talents and dedication to your craft, care and empathy for your students and each other, and a collaborative approach to address challenges and solve problems. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of an exceptional team.

I have enjoyed getting to know many of you over the past several weeks. I joined the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District because it is a district with unbounded potential. I appreciate your commitment to our students and thank you for your endless flexibility during these uncertain times.

I come to you with an ambitious agenda – to help firmly establish the conditions that will enable you as educators to be your best selves so that in turn you can support our students to become their absolute best selves. It cannot be underscored enough how significant your role is, individually and collectively, to help cultivate a positive environment that enables all students to maximize their individual potential.

All of us play a role in cultivating a healthy community where we promote effective communication that will help us help each other move towards our collective goal to support our students. As your Superintendent of Schools, I do not create all of the ideas, but rather can serve as a catalyst for all of the ideas that come forward from engaged stakeholders to make our schools a little better tomorrow than they are today.

I look forward to learning more about the existing strengths of our schools and the areas to be guided to further explore and to help improve. To that end, I invite you to meet with me as your work schedule may allow so we may get to know each other better. We will be hosting the first of voluntary and informal meet and greets for staff as noted in the schedule below:
